The Hebrew Circle was begun by the Hashkamah Minyan to help those who have some Hebrew knowledge to improve their conversational Hebrew skills. The Hebrew used is modern Israeli Hebrew, as opposed to biblical Hebrew.

The Circle employs a series of 12 articles published by the Hebrew University and the participants read and discuss these articles.

The Circle is open to anyone with basic Hebrew skills. Participants do not have to attend the Hashkamah Minyan, and indeed do not have to belong to Shaar Shalom Synagogue.

The Circle meets once a week, currently Tuesday mights immediately after the evening service.
